My name is Alexandria Lang (she/they), and I’m a 23-year-old multimedia artist based in North Shore, Massachusetts. I recently graduated from Emerson College with a Bachelor of Science in Political Communication and a minor in Pre-Law. My passion for creating ecological art stems from a lifelong love of plants, animals, and botanical conservation.

I care for over 200 plants and work as an interior horticulturist for Maison Green, a local business specializing in plant styling and installation. I’m also a dedicated vegan and animal rights advocate.

When I’m not creating art, I enjoy spending time with my plants, my four parrots, and engaging in political work. I specialize in strategic marketing and policy development, and my professional background includes experience in content creation, nonprofit consulting, executive management, and marketing and communications.

My skill set includes graphic design, media analytics, content strategy, SEO, campaign management, event planning, and stakeholder engagement.

“A Feather From Sunshine” is inspired by my commitment to using ethically sourced materials in art, especially feathers. The use of feathers has a deep and transcultural history, yet craft stores today are stocked with dyed feathers that are forcibly plucked. My work seeks to honor tradition while promoting ethical alternatives for artists.
